Chichester Community Fencing Club meets twice a week at the Chichester College Sports Hall - for information about our venue including directions and maps please click here.

Founded in February 2006 the club aims to promote values of sportsmanship and widened participation in fencing. Through the pursuit of these aims the club achieved the backing of the National Lottery and in early 2007 was awarded a substantial grant of £9000 which was used to launch the club in June ’07.

We are a volunteer run not-for-profit organisation.
As a club and a community group we run several outreach programs involving local schools, community groups, scout groups and many more. Our current major project is our Schools Development Scheme, for which we have recently received the backing of a local charitable trust (The Woodger Trust) in the form of a £15,000 grant for the first phase of the project. This scheme will introduce the sport of fencing to as many local state schools in the Chichester area as possible, all at no cost to the pupils or the schools involved. You can find out about this project as well as how you can get involved by clicking on ‘Schools Development Scheme’ on the above menu.

CCFC also supports the SportsmanshipFirst project, a campaign aimed at putting sportsmanship back into sport. Please take the time to find out about this campaign by clicking here.

Sessions at CCFC are friendly and welcoming. Training is available to everyone in the form of both class lessons and individual lessons from either of the club’s two British Fencing Association qualified coaches as well as a BFA qualified coach assistant. Beginners are welcome at any session, just turn up! Tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt are suitable clothing, all fencing equipment is provided for. The times and prices of sessions are stated in the box at the top right hand corner of the page.
